Born in New York City back in 2018, Fortunebaby is a cohesively eclectic shop featuring vintage and one-of-a-kind fine jewelry along with a thoughtful selection of jewelry adjacent goods.

The Vintage collection is comprised of some of my favorite pieces meticulously handpicked from all over the world. 

One of a Kind items are a unique mix of old and new brought together by yours truly and my team of craftspeople in NYC to create exclusive designs for you to cherish for years to come. Included in this category are some one off and limited edition Fortunebaby classics, with a twist. 

The newest addition to our little world here, aptly named Not Jewelry, is a small offering of jewelry collector's accoutrements (think: catchalls, jewelry boxes, etc) and a quality assortment of branded merch. 

As for me, the person behind it all, my name is Joanna- but you can call me Jo. Jewelry is and always has been my number one love, aside from my dog Frau of course! That's us down there, how do you like our corporate headshots?

After graduating from Parsons in 2010 I worked in production and manufacturing in the garment industry for several years, all the while longing to make the move into jewelry. Eventually, by 2016, I took the plunge, completing some courses at GIA and landing my first job in the industry running production for a Manhattan based jewelry brand. A few years into my Production Manager gig I began selling jewelry on Instagram (R.I.P @fatf8ce). The rest, as they say, is history.

Fortunebaby is my baby and I strive to keep that deeply personal touch at the forefront of everything I do- because what is jewelry, after all, if not profoundly personal.
